Glastonbury 2023 line-up – full list so far
Glastonbury Festival 2023 attendees had already been promised Elton John for the legendary festival, and now the final headliners have now been revealed. Arctic Monkeys have been confirmed to be joining the massive weekend on Friday night. Their inclusion follows the release of their seventh studio album, The Car. They are being joined by Guns N’ Roses, who are taking the Saturday night slot.
These new announcements finish off the weekend headliners list, gaining yet more questions about the festival’s all-male headliner list.
Lizzo will be hitting the stage just before Guns N’ Roses, but Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis seemed to suggest this was a technicality more than anything.
She recently told The Guardian: “She could totally headline.” She added that the Pyramid stage often “sees bigger crowds in the afternoon than at night”. She added: “Many of the artists could. But the headline slot had already been promised to someone else.”
Eavis also confirmed Guns N’ Roses were a second choice for Saturday’s headliner when another artist “pulled out”.

Eavis explained a female headliner cancelled on them because she “changed her touring plans”. While she wouldn’t confirm who this might have been, Taylor Swift is the main suspect. The American singer was originally going to headline the festival before the pandemic cancelled it. Since then, she has made extensive tour plans after releasing a batch of albums.
On Guns N’ Roses’ inclusion, however, Eavis said: “They’ll be brilliant and provide something totally different to the rest of the headliners.”
Glastonbury has received criticism over the years for booking all-white, all-male headliners and artists. The Guardian reports 53 percent of the 55 names revealed today are male.
Eavis pointed out she is “entirely focused on balancing our bill”.

Eavis continued: “It’s not just about gender, it’s about every aspect of diversity … We’re probably one of the only big shows that’s really focused on this.”
Ultimately, Eavis placed the blame on the music industry, calling for it to invest in more female artists going forward.
“We’re trying our best so the pipeline needs to be developed,” she said. “This starts way back with the record companies, radio. I can shout as loud as I like but we need to get everyone on board.”
Last year, Paul McCartney headlined the festival alongside Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar.

Pulp bass player Steve Mackey has sadly passed away aged 56.
An official statement by the band shared on Thursday (March 2) read: “Our beloved friend & bass player Steve Mackey passed away this morning.
“Our thoughts are with his family & loved ones. Safe travels, Steve. “We hope to catch up with you one day. All our love xx”

His cause of death is yet to be revealed.
Alongside the heartfelt tribute, they shared an image of Steve walking through mountains while on tour in 2012.

They wrote: “This photo of Steve dates from when Pulp were on tour in South America in 2012.
“We had a day off and Steve suggested we go climbing in the Andes. So we did. It was a completely magical experience.”
“Far more magical than staring at the hotel room wall all day (which is probably what we’d have done otherwise). Steve made things happen. In his life and in the band.

They concluded: “We’d very much like to think that he’s back in those mountains now, on the next stage of his adventure.”
Unsurprisingly, fans have rushed to social media to share their own tribute to Steve.
One fan penned: “Devastating news that Pulp bassist and Sheffield Legend Steve Mackey passed away this morning at the ridiculously young age of 56, he’ll be greatly missed.”

Another added: “I would truly not be here today without Pulp. It was Steve Mackey who joined in 1989 and made them what they would be in the 1990s.
“He was such an important influence in the band. His passing is so desperately sad. Taken from us far, far too soon.”
A third person posted: “Sad to hear, Steve Mackey has passed away.”

While a fourth social media user said: “Beyond sadness. RIP Steve Mackey.”
Steve joined Pulp in 1989, and played across all their most successful albums.
Pulp are set to reform this summer, and have detailed plans for a nationwide run of live shows, including headline slots at TRNSMT and Latitude, as well as an open air date at London’s Finsbury Park.

Last year, Steve had ruled himself out of the shows, citing prior commitments. He said at the time “I’ve decided to continue the work I’m engaged in – music, filmmaking and photography projects and will not be joining them for these UK shows just announced.”
As a record producer, Steve produced songs and albums by M.I.A., Florence + the Machine, The Long Blondes and Arcade Fire.
In 2005, he played a cameo role as one of The Weird Sisters, rock band in the film of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
He was married to fashion journalist Katie Grand and the shared a son Marley.

Ex-Love Island star Mary Bedford has unleashed her curves yet again for another red-hot reveal, with the 23-year-old donning a tiny lingerie set while parading her famous figure.
Mary, who shot to fame in 2021 during season seven of the hit ITV2 dating show, has never been the type to shy away from flaunting her killer curves.
And the blonde beauty’s sizzling snap from last week is a perfect example of that.

Taking to her Instagram on Monday (February 27) Mary left very little to the imagination by wearing nothing but a tiny skimpy two-piece lingerie set.
Posing up a storm in front of a gigantic open window, the former Islander oozed sex appeal and confidence as she smouldered away from the camera.

Nearly causing a wardrobe malfunction, Mary almost spilled out of the plunging triangle-style top – giving her followers an eyeful.
Working her best angles for the camera, her chest was barely contained by the lacy material, letting her hourglass proportions do the talking.
For the impromptu photoshoot, Mary wore her signature blonde locks in a sleek and straight style that cascaded over her shoulders.

The TV star finished the look with lashings of black mascara on her sky-high lashes which she teamed with a swipe of pink gloss on her plump pout.
Mary captioned the selfie: “Balcony moment,” and fans soon flooded the comments section to gush over the star.
“You look so beautiful,” said one smitten fan, while another penned: “Gorgeous as always.”
Echoing their thoughts, someone else gushed: “Omg this set on you.”
“Victoria’s Secret supermodel,” a fourth follower proclaimed.

Mary found fame on the 2021 series of Love Island.
The Wakefield native’s journey began when islander Toby Aromolaran brought her back from Casa Amor.
However, the two drifted and she eventually coupled up with footy star Aaron Simpson.
But the couple’s time on the show came to an end when they were dumped from the villa, just days before the final.

Celebrity astrologer Russell Grant has opened up about his battle with brain cancer, revealing that he had a tumour removed before Christmas.
The 72-year old also took the time to praise the ‘A Team’ who worked on the procedure at the Alexandra Hospital in Manchester.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star took to his Twitter account to tell his 51,000 followers he was now in recovery.

He wrote: “Before Christmas I had a brain tumour removed by the A-Team Prof Pathmanban, Dr Bhalla, Dr Kearney, the caring nurses & Vicky Walsh of Alex Hospital Manchester & Dr Wilton YG Bangor I’m now into recovery on @BrainTumourOrg Day Thank you all.”

The star was subsequently inundated with messages from well-wishers, with one replying: “You’re looking good Russ. Rest up and continue with that great recovery xxx.”
Another commented: “Omg I’ve only just read this! You poor darling you’ve been through it. Get well soon lovely.”
A third added: “I had no idea you had been so ill. Wishing you all the very best for your continued recovery & keep well. Xx.”
And a pal said: “Wishing you a speedy recovery my old friend I’m so pleased the surgery was successful and can’t wait to see you twinkling the boards somewhere soon!!”

According to the Sun, Russell’s procedure to remove the tumour from his pituitary gland lasted five hours after docs had warned it could have “blanked out” his optic nerve.
As part of his post-op recovery the stargazer is forbidden from travelling for six months.
Russell returned to the social media platform later in the day to thank everyone for their support, adding that he was going to have a rest in order to aid his recovery.
He said: “Thank you good people for your wonderful caring tweets. I’ll be off now as rest aids recovery. A special mention to my incredible agent Mildred for being there and supporting me from the beginning. Love to you all, bye for now.”

The ‘Peaches’ hitmaker’s ‘Justice’ concert dates were previously postponed after the 28-year-old star revealed to fans he had been stricken with partial facial paralysis due to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
AceShowbiz –Justin Bieber‘s world tour has seemingly been cancelled. The “Love Yourself” hitmaker’s “Justice” concert dates, which were previously postponed due to the 28-year-old star’s health problems, have been removed from his official website, while ticketing sites such as Ticketmaster have also updated their pages to reflect that the gigs have been axed.
Ticketholders for The O2 in London have received emails from provider AXS to advise them the show has been cancelled and they will automatically receive refunds in the coming days. Screenshots shared on Twitter from the AXS email read, “We regret to inform you that the Justin Bieber shows planned to take place at The O2 arena have been cancelled. We understand you will be disappointed and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Justin has yet to comment on the news.
The “Love Yourself” hitmaker first postponed his tour in June 2022 after revealing to fans he had been stricken with partial facial paralysis due to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. He said in an Instagram video, “Obviously as you can probably see with my face. I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome and it is from this virus that attacks the nerves in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis.”
He added, “Can’t believe I’m saying this. I’ve done everything to get better but my sickness is getting worse. My heart breaks that I will have to postpone these next few shows (doctors orders.) To all my people I love you so much and I’m gonna rest and get better.”
Pointing to the left side of his face and showing he couldn’t blink or smile, he added, “So there is full paralysis on this side my face. So for those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically obviously not capable of doing them. This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case but obviously my body is telling me that I’ve got to slow down and I hope you guys understand. I will be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100 percent so that I can do what I was born to do.”

And then in September, a day after performing at the Rock in Rio festival in Brazil, Justin again announced he wasn’t ready to go back on the road.
He said, “After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realised that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better.”

Creamfields North 2023 festival has announced some major names for their headline acts.
The UK’s top dance festival returns for yet another year of festival fun and unforgettable moments.
Creamfields North returns to Cheshire and will take place this August Bank Holiday weekend, like usual, this year it’s 24th – 27th August.
The show expects to see 70,000 fans come from around the world to see some of dance music’s biggest acts.
Some of the top acts this year include: Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Becky Hill, Carl Cox Hybrid Live, Eric Prydz, DJ Snake and Diplo.

Other big names include Martin Garrix, Ben Hemsley, Four Tet, Armin van Buuren, Adam Beyer, Chase & Status (DJ Set), Amelie Lens, Deborah De Luca, Patrick Topping, Fatboy Slim, Jamie Jones, Peggy Gou, Andy C, Camelphat, Ewan McVicar and Joel Corry.
Also on the lineup are Folamour, Hot Since 82, Hannah Laing, Sonny Fodera, Nina Kraviz, John Summit, Arielle Free, VTSS, Michael Bibi, Kölsch, Solardo, Ben Nicky and Eliza Rose.

Daisy May Cooper looks completely different after her incredible body transformation following her split from husband and father of her two kids.
The 36-year-old star explained how she hit rock bottom after the split from her long-term partner Will Weston who announced he wanted a divorce just ten months after she gave birth to their second son in October 2020.
Since their split, Daisy has shown off her stunning new look after jumping onto the Keto Diet.

She told Grazia Magazine: “I’m so for body positivity but when I was at my biggest I was at my most miserable and I had a massive food addiction.
“I wasn’t healthy, I couldn’t breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy,” she added. “And I’ve had some messages like, ‘Well, now you’ve lost the weight you’re not funny anymore,’ What the f**k? Why do women have to be f**king fat to be funny?”

“That makes me so angry. I champion anybody and I think everybody should be happy with their body, but I wasn’t.”
Daisy has revealed that she now follows the Keto Diet and told fans how she got started on the tummy-slimming regime.
“Anyone else doing keto?” she asked in an Instagram post. “My mate Sarah and my da suggested I give it a try and I’m shocked at how quickly weight is dropping off.”

Later today, at 3:05pm on BBC 2, The Beatles’ cinematic debut, A Hard Day’s Night, will hit TV screens. This 1964 film was particularly poignant for the band as it was shot and released during the height of Beatlemania. The fictional movie followed the band over a 36-hour period leading up to a TV performance. But behind the scenes, George Harrison found himself becoming obsessed with one of the extras.
One scene in A Hard Day’s Night involved a string of schoolgirls becoming obsessed with The Beatles and chasing them around London. One of these schoolgirls was played by none other than Pattie Boyd. And when Harrison locked eyes with her, he couldn’t help himself.
Boyd later looked back on meeting the Fab Four for the first time: “On first impressions, John seemed more cynical and brash than the others, Ringo the most endearing, Paul was cute.”
And then there was Harrison. Boyd said he had “velvet-brown eyes and dark chestnut hair,” before calling him “the best-looking man I had ever seen.”
Things then took a turn as they became unexpectedly closer between shots.

Boyd said: “At a break for lunch, I found myself sitting next to him. Being close to him was electrifying.” The rapport between The Beatles and their groupies continued throughout the day of filming, but as it came to an end, Harrison knew he had to make his movie.
“Will you marry me?” he asked Boyd, who was just 19-years-old at the time. She couldn’t help but laugh. Here was a Beatle – one of the most famous men on the planet – asking for her hand in marriage after barely knowing her a day.
She didn’t respond. So Harrison followed up: “Well, if you won’t marry me, will you have dinner with me tonight?”

Boyd recalled: “George and I were very young when we met. I was 19 or 20 and he was a year older than me. In a way it was wonderful because we were growing up together, we still had so much to learn.”
Two years later, in 1966, Harrison and Boyd were married. Together, they experience the heights of the Beatles’ career as it erupted into unbelievable popularity.
They also spent a lot of time together partying in London, Boyd continued. “London was exploding with creativity and in the fashion world we had all these wonderful designers appear, like Mary Quant and Ossie Clark, and great painters like David Hockney.”
Just over a decade later, their differences became too much for them, and they divorced in 1977.
Boyd soon after married Eric Clapton – one of Harrison’s closest friends – but he was happy for them. He even played music at their wedding reception, as a sign of his blessing.
Harrison later died in 2001 after battling cancer. Boyd never said a bad word about her ex-husband.
“I loved him,” she confessed. “He was the most generous man and so beautiful and intelligent and articulate. We learned so much from him, we were like little kids, soaking everything up. We were really, really lucky. And in a way, I suppose it was an education for me.”

Avril Lavigne and her fiance Mod Sun have reportedly broken off their engagement less than a year after he proposed.
The Sk8er Boi singer, 38, and Mod, 35, got engaged in March last year as he got down on one knee in Paris.
Avril and American musician Mod’s most recent video together on social media was of the pair ice skating, which was posted on Christmas Day, but neither has been seen on each other’s Instagram page for several weeks.

Sources have toldTMZ that Avril and Mod have been “on and off” over the last few months and have ultimately called it quits on their relationship altogether.

The news of the split comes after Avril, who rose to fame at the age of 17 with her single Complicated, was photographed with Kylie Jenner ‘s ex Tyga on Sunday (February 19) night as they went for dinner at Nobu with pals.
The pair shared a hug in the car park of the restaurant before leaving in the same vehicle, but TMZ sources have stressed that they have a platonic relationship.
Neither Avril or Mod have announced a split, with his representative telling TMZ that the couple were still an item.

They said: “They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him.”
The pair first met in January 2021 before announcing they were dating in the following month, with the punk rockers collaborated on the song Flames.
Avril and Mod were together when the Grammy Award-nominated singer received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in August 2022, on the 20th anniversary of her debut album Let Go.

They were seen together earlier this month at a pre-Grammys event as they supported rapper turned punk rocker Machine Gun Kelly.
Avril had been married twice before; firstly to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2010 before marrying fellow Canadian Chad Kroeger, the lead singer of Nickelback, from 2013 and 2015.
She was also in a relationship with Kylie and Kendall Jenner ‘s half-brother Brody.
